Quad bike enthusiasts get ready for Rock Rally

Quad bike enthusiasts in Patton USA are gearing up for the Rally at the Rock three-day event which is set to bring September to a close at the Rock Run Recreation.

A representative said that the Rock Run quad bike event was for all the family and a race quad was not a necessity to have fun as a great outdoor experience could be had by all. In total, there are more than 140 miles of ATV trails and this year, the organisers have added a very welcome feature to attract even more quad bike riders.

Over the length of the quad bike tracks, there are plenty of dirt hills, tire obstacles, and piles of boulders to navigate around and over. There is also the addition of a water pit, which the organisers said was the perfect addition to the course for a fun day for all.

Some of the trails have been extended so they will now take place side-by-side along with two-seater vehicles. There will be picnic tables and vendors to keep spectators and those taking part in the quad bike races fed.

Last year’s race saw around 50 vehicles taking part and it is thought that this year, thanks to heavy promotion and marketing, there will be many more participants. The organisers said that the event has become more popular each year.

The 2012 rally will be held on September 28 – 30. On Saturday, September 29, the Extreme Show-n-Shine Cruise-In will be held between the hours of 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. For those visiting who plan on camping over the three-day period, the park has 350 campsites and bathrooms in the visitors centre.
