Students arrive at prom in style on quad bikes

Students in Cleobury Mortimer, Shropshire, wanted to do something very different for their prom night and decided that they would make their entrance to the Cleobury Mortimer School prom night on some very unusual transport, including a quad bike.

The Year 11s at the school will not forget their night in a hurry, thanks to some of the most unconventional forms of transport they used to get them there. It is not unusual to hear of people turning up at such events in stretch limos but not many can say that they turned up to their prom riding on a quad bike. Along with many other forms of unusual transport, the range included a white horse drawn carriage, an ice cream van and even an old traction engine.

The head teacher at the school, Allan Gilhooley, said that this was a very fitting event where pupils could celebrate their time and successes at the school. He went on to say that they would be missed and wished them success in the future ahead.

The prom night was held on the premises of the school and music was supplied by a local band named The Outbursts, along with a DJ. The head of the school year, Kara Guise, said that it was very unusual and it was also great to see all the support from the community. She went on to say that she hoped that everyone had a superb night and the night will be remembered for some time to come.
