Proposed changes could drastically change farm quad effectiveness

George Lyon on behalf of the Scottish Liberal Democrats is against proposed changes where manufacturers of farm quads would have to build them to road specifications. He has been campaigning and declared that the changes would drastically reduce the effectiveness of quad bikes on the farm. One of the changes proposed is to have a speed limit of 40kph for all ATVs. Couple turn mud into money in New Zealand

A couple originally from New Plymouth have found that they can turn mud into money in New Zealand. The couple, who are avid quad bike riders, have launched Egmont Quads Taranaki and are waiting for customers to arrive for the first hour long farm trail tours on quads. (more…)

Farmer turns to new anti-theft device

A farmer in North Wales has turned to a new anti-theft device to help beat thieves. The theft of farm quads has been rising in the area, with insurance firm NFU Mutual revealing that quad thefts from farms rose to £1.7 million by the end of 2010.
