Two young brothers from North Hampshire are celebrating victories in the British endurance quad bike racing circuit. Jamie and Alex Bone, who live in Hook, have produced exceptional overall performances over the year.

Alex (known as Axel), aged 8, is now national champion, having won the under-10 category of the International Organisation of Professional Drivers British Endurance Championship. The championship of 12 gruelling rounds, ranging from motocross tracks to tricky technical tracks where the drivers have to negotiate obstacles such as logs. Alex was deemed the winner because he never finished below third position in any of the races he took part in over the season.

Alex’s older brother, Jamie, aged 11, was triumphant in the big event of the season, the Weston Super Mare Beach Race. Jamie was so many laps ahead that he still came first despite his bike suffering a breakdown 10 minutes before the end, and having to wheel his bike past the finishing post.

The success of the two brothers helps confirm the growing popularity of quad bike racing, amongst both adults and children. Supported by an enthusiastic community and fan base, quad bike racing events are held across the UK during a season that runs from March to November.

Quad bike retailers will be only too happy to assist you with your choice of the sporting quad bike, be they new or used quad bikes, for you or your children. Retailers will also be delighted to supply you with the most suitable racing and safety gear and accessories.
