Joy as stolen Ben 10 quad bike is returned

The grandmother of a boy whose Ben 10 quad bike was stolen by heartless thieves has told of their joy at getting the vehicle back. The boy and quad bike have been reunited after a story ran in the local newspaper.

The very distinctive quad bike was in the car port of young Joshua Galmoye’s home in a gated community in Havant, Hampshire, but when his parents checked the following morning they made the discovery that thieves had made off with it. The Ben 10 quad bike was to have been a birthday present for the next day when it was stolen during the night. Joshua knew that he was getting it as he had taken it for a “test drive” the previous day.

This particular quad bike very rarely comes onto the market and his parents feared that it had been stolen to be sold on. However, there was a happy ending as staff at Hayling Islands Beach Patrol got in touch with the Galmoyes, thanks to the story having been reported in the news.

Apparently, the thieves had been joyriding on the quad on the beach and, when it ran out of power, they had left it there. Rangers had contacted the police but the officer in charge of the case was not on duty and the owners were only tracked after the story of the theft was seen in the news.

The quad was picked up, cleaned and recharged by Joshua’s grandparents, who did their own little bit of quad servicing, before being reunited with its owner. The thieves had done some damage but thankfully it is now in perfect working order and Joshua was thrilled to have it back.
