The 2012 QRA Great 8 Endurance Festival weekend is just around the corner, as the weekend opens on Friday 31st August. This is one of the biggest quad bike endurance events to be held in the United Kingdom.
This year, the festival will take place at a new venue and it will be celebrating its eighth birthday.
Organizers are expecting the festival to be as popular as it has been in the past. The welcome party will kick off the festivities on the Friday, with the excitement continuing the following morning with the youth endurance quad bike race, which lasts four hours.
On the Saturday is the QRA Mini Bike Duro, which takes place over three hours. There is one main difference to the festival this year; for the first time ever, quad bike contestants are able to take part in teams of two. The first race day will end the same as always with a party held in the marquee complete with music provided by DJ Stumpy. This will be followed by the day’s events presentation.
Sunday brings about the main event – the QRA Great 8 Enduro – which is an adult only race event lasting eight hours. This event is well-known in the UK and team work, along with individual endurance, is needed by those who cross the finish line. The event will reach its culmination with entertainment along with a presentation of the events of the day in the evening.
